Tell us about Farnham’s Butchery and what feedback you get from customers
At Farnham’s Butchery, we sell fresh meat that is locally sourced where possible, as well as a selection of gourmet meats, rissoles, chops and ready to cook and service stir-fries and curries. Customers are always very happy with our selection of BBQ meats and cook at home meats ready for the smoker or the camp oven which is really popular at the moment as people aren’t dining out like they used to.

What’s something customers might not know about your store?
Some of our beef comes off the family farm so Kevin can keep a keen eye from paddock to plate.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?
My favourite thing about working here is meeting new as well as established customers, finding out what their tastes and requirements are. We’ve actually been in the local community for over 27 years, and just over 12 months at Wallsend Village where we really enjoy the small town atmosphere.

How have you adapted to COVID-19 and what keeps your motivated?
We try and support local farmers and suppliers to help the local economy and we’ve started wearing masks and sanitising more often. Our motivation is simple: We want to feed the local community!
